Cowboy Classic, Day Two 
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Kevin Lucas shot 69 on Tuesday and finished tied for fifth at the Cowboy Classic at the North Course of Talking Stick Golf Resort.
Nevada finished 11th as a team in an event that featured a handful of ranked teams and was won by Kansas State. The Wolf Pack was 5 over for the 54-hole tournament and finished with an 845. Kansas State won with an 826.
Lucas finished four shots back of Kansas State's Ben Juffer and Colorado State's Mike Wuertz, who went to a playoff with Juffer winning medalist honors. Lucas carded rounds of 67, 66 and 69 for the tournament.
Freshmen Zak Griffiths and Andrew Cornella tied for 62nd at 216 for the tourney. Taylor Knoll was one shot back at 217 and Gustavo Chuang finished with a 220.
Nevada will return to action April 20-22 at the Winchester Classic, an event the Wolf Pack is co-hosting with UC Davis at Winchester Golf Course in Auburn, Calif.
