Desert Shootout Day 3 Get Acrobat Reader



GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Freshman Zak Griffiths came in with a 70 on Saturday at the Desert Shootout and finished tied for 21st to lead the Nevada men's golf team.

The Wolf Pack took 10th place at the event, which featured a handful of the top-50 teams in the nation. Nevada was 2 over for the tournament, which was won by Wichita State at 28 under.

Griffiths entered the day just 1 over for the tournament and his 2 under in the final round vaulted him to a top-25 finish at 215 (1 under). Kevin Lucas tied for 36th with a 218 while Brian Knoll and Gustavo Chuang tied for 48th at 220. Taylor Knoll tied for 67th with a 223.

Nevada will return to action next week at the famed U.S. Intercollegiate, hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Course in the Bay Area.
