Nevada Notes Get Acrobat Reader

The University of Nevada women's basketball team (5-17, 1-6 WAC) will return to Lawlor Events Center for a three-game home stand, beginning with a match-up against conference leading Fresno State (19-4, 7-0 WAC) Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Fresno State leads the overall series with Nevada 29-9. The Bulldogs defeated the Wolf Pack 85-67 in the last meeting earlier this year. Chanelle Brennan led Nevada with 13 points in the loss. Fresno State is currently on a 15 game winning streak and are undefeated in conference play with seven wins. The Bulldogs are led by Ki-Ki Moore who is averaging 17.3 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game on the year.

National Girls And Women In Sports Day- The National Girls and Women in Sports Day activities will be conducted before the Nevada women's basketball team faces Fresno State. The Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada and Charter Communications have partnered with Nevada Athletics to host the annual event for kids middle school and under.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. at Lawlor Events Center and the cost is $2. The day includes sports clinics conducted by Nevada student-athletes and interactive booths hosted by community organizations. It also includes entrance into the Nevada vs. Fresno State game. Fans are encouraged to bring a non-professional camera and stop by the Charter station for a chance to meet Scooby Doo, Dora the Explorer, and Strawberry Shortcake. The station will also include an MLB inflatable strike zone. Although the title of the day focuses on girls and women in sports, their male counterparts are encouraged to attend, as there will be male student-athletes from Nevada participating.

For fans who do not attend the Girls and Women in Sports Day activities, tickets to the game will be $2.

Senior Kayla Williams will be on hand to sign her player card following the game.
