RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team will compete twice this week, taking on San Francisco on Thursday at noon and Fresno State Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Nevada is 2-2 so far this season, while San Francisco is 1-0 and Fresno State is 1-1.

The Wolf Pack took on four teams in its first week of the dual season, defeating UC Riverside and Texas A&M Corpus Christi and falling to LMU and New Mexico.

Team captain Wessim Derbel got off to a blazing start this Spring, winning each of his first four singles matches at the No. 1 position. He is now 8-2 in his last 10 matches dating back to the Fall.

Newcomer Moez Echargui has also gotten off to a fast start, winning his first four singles matches as well. Three of Echargui's wins have come at the third singles position, with one coming at the No. 4 spot.

As a team, the Wolf Pack is 13-11 in singles play and 7-5 in doubles play so far this dual season.

After taking on two northern-California foes, the Pack will meet BYU and Idaho State on February 17 and 18, respectively.
