RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's soccer team earned a 2-1 comeback victory in overtime Friday, defeating the Sacramento State Hornets at Mackay Stadium.

Nevada moved to 2-8 with the win, while Sacramento State dropped to 4-6.

"I am very proud of the way we played tonight," head coach Dr. Melissa Price said. "It feels good to get a win."

After playing the Hornets to a scoreless first half, the Wolf Pack fell behind 1-0 when Victoria Ramirez scored in the 46th minute.

Clawing back in minute 72 behind Ellie Stott's second goal of the season, Nevada leveled the contest at one. Stott took a pass from Annabelle Allen and flicked it toward the net, beating the keeper on the far side. Bobby Reilly, who earned a secondary assist, notched her first career point on the goal.

Tied heading into overtime and with time expiring in the first extra session, Kori Disarufino took a ricochet off a Sacramento State defender and put it into the back of the net for the game winner. The goal came in the 100th minute and was unassisted.

Nevada played good possession soccer throughout the contest, often controlling the play into the Hornets half of the field.

The solid play by the Pack forced Sacramento State into 12 fouls, eight more than Nevada. Shots were even at 10 per team, with the Hornets earning a 6-3 first half edge and the Pack doing the same in the second half. Each team had one shot in overtime.

Dana Moreno earned her first win in goal for Nevada, as she played the second half and overtime. Jenna Riddle started the game between the pipes for Nevada.

The Pack will take on UC Davis Sunday at Mackay Stadium to close out the weekend.
