FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Nevada women's golf team got off to a slow start to the 2011-12 season as the Wolf Pack is 16th after the first two rounds of the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic on Monday.
The Wolf Pack was led by Jamie Yam, who fired rounds of 73 and 76 and is tied for 28th at 5 over for the tournament. But the Pack does not have another player in the top 50 and Nevada is 16th of 19 teams heading into the final round.
UC Davis leads the team race at 1 under overall as a team following 18 holes. The Aggies' Demi Runas has a two-shot lead for medalist honors as she is sitting at 7 under for the tournament.
The final round at Ptarmigan County Club is scheduled for Tuesday.
