RENO, Nev. - University of Nevada head women's basketball head coach Jane Albright has announced the addition of Jacie Hoyt to her staff as Director of Basketball Operations.  Hoyt has earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees and is a former player for Albright at Wichita State University.

"We are excited to welcome Jacie to our women's basketball family," Albright said.  "I have known her dating back to when I recruited her out of high school.  She has great passion and enthusiasm for basketball and working with young people.  I believe she is a rising star in the world of women's basketball and we are lucky to have her."

Earning her Bachelor's in general studies in 2009 from Wichita State, Hoyt started every game for the women's basketball team from 2006-09.  She was a member of the honor roll in 2006, '07 and '08 with the Shockers and won the team's Iron Shocker Award in 2009.  After graduating from Wichita State she went on to earn her Master's from Fort Hays State University in May.  She also made the honor roll at Fort Hays while earning her graduate degree in 2009, '10 and '11.

Since finishing her playing career, Hoyt has served as the "Be Your Best" travelling camp coordinator since July of 2006.  In addition, while at Fort Hays she served as the women's basketball team's graduate assistant.

Hoyt fills the vacant position left by Heather Cusick who is still with the team, but moving into the graduate assistant role.  Cusick will become the graduate assistant so that she can focus more on finishing her Master's degree while working more in a coaching capacity rather than an administrative one.
