RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Nevada senior Scott Smith finished the NCAA West Regional with a 75 on Saturday and tied for 66th at the event.

Smith, of Fallon, Nev., was three over par on Friday at The Farms Golf Club. The first-team All-WAC selection was one of 10 individuals competing in the 13-team regional. The tournament marked the end of Smith's tremendous collegiate career.

"It was a pretty emotional day for Scott but he can certainly hold his head held high after the phenomenal career he has had at Nevada," Wolf Pack coach Jacob Wilner said."

UCLA rallied to beat USC for the team title of the regional. UCLA's Patrick Cantlay won medalist honors.

Smith carded an opening round 80 and was tied for 64th after 18 holes of the three-round tournament. He shot 79 on Friday was tied for 66th entering the final round.
