RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team opened a big weekend with a WAC win over New Mexico State, 5-2 at Caughlin Club Friday.
The win moved Nevada to 6-9 (2-1 WAC), while NMSU dropped to 9-6 (1-2 WAC).
The Wolf Pack got off to a quick start, winning two of the three doubles matches to jump out to an early 1-0 lead.
