RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team will close out its regular season with a WAC contest against Louisiana Tech, at 1 p.m. Saturday, in Ruston, La.

Nevada is 10-9 (4-1 WAC) and has won five consecutive matches entering the meeting with the Lady Techsters.  A win will secure Nevada the second seed in the upcoming WAC Tournament, which will be held in Fresno, Calif., April 28-30.

During the streak the Wolf Pack has defeated three conference opponents, including No. 57 Boise State.  When Nevada defeated them 4-3, on April 10 in Reno, it handed the Broncos their first loss within the WAC this season.

Nevada won four of the five matches at home, with the lone road victory during the unbeaten streak coming in come-from-behind fashion at Pacific.  Down 1-0 early last Sunday, the Pack rallied to push the streak to five, winning 4-3 in Stockton, Calif.

Louisiana Tech is 11-7, (0-4 WAC) has improved its overall record this season, and will finish above .500 for the first time in 15 years regardless of the outcome Saturday.  In 1996, Louisiana Tech finished 12-4.  The Lady Techsters have been shutout only twice this season, compared to eight times in 2009-10.
