RENO, NEV. - The University of Nevada released its 2011 volleyball schedule today. The schedule includes three tournaments and a match against interstate rival UNLV at the Virginia Street Gym before the Wolf Pack begins WAC play at home against Fresno State.
The annual Silver & Blue scrimmage will take place Aug. 20, before the Pack opens the season with three tournaments on the road. The first tournament is at San Diego State Aug.26-27, where Nevada will take on Portland, UC Irvine and San Diego State.
The team will then travel to Portland, Ore. Sept. 2-3 for four matches against Washington State, Butler, Texas A&M and Portland.
The last tournament is in Berkeley, Calif. Sept 9-10. The Pack is set to take on Sacramento State, California and UT Arlington.
Nevada will host UNLV at the Virginia Street Gym Sept. 21 before taking on Fresno State Sept. 24 in its first WAC game of the 2011 season.
