DENVER, Colo.  - The Western Athletic Conference announced its 2010-11 women's basketball All-WAC teams Monday following a vote by the head coaches in the league.  Nevada had two players honored with All-WAC and All-Defensive team awards.

Senior captain Shavon Moore became the second player since Nevada joined the WAC in 2000 to win WAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dellena Criner was the first, winning it twice in 2007-08 and 2008-09.  A 6-1 forward from Riverside, Calif., Moore averaged 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 0.9 blocks per game in WAC play. She was also named first team all-WAC and to the all-Defensive team.

Fellow senior captain Tahnee Robinson also won WAC honors being named to the first-team alongside Moore.  Robinson is currently one of five finalists for the Sullivan Award given to the nation's top amateur athlete.  She has spent all year as one of the top-15 scorers in the nation, currently sitting at 10th with 21.7 ppg and 21st with 2.8 three-pointers per game.  Robinson was named to the preseason All-WAC first-team and the 2009-10 All-Newcomer team.

The honors come for Nevada as the team prepares to travel to the 2011 WAC Tournament hosted at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. this week.  Coming on the heels of the program's first 20-win regular season, Nevada earned the four seed for the tournament which offers a bye through the first round.  The Wolf Pack will play on Thursday, March 10 in the early game at 6 p.m.  The Pack will not know its opponent until Wednesday night, March 9, playing the winner of the 6 p.m. game featuring the fifth-seeded Idaho and the eighth-seeded Boise State.

Nevada swept Boise State during the regular season, winning 68-51 in Reno on Jan. 28, and 74-57 on Feb. 19.  The Pack struggled with Idaho this year however, splitting with the Vandals losing 61-56 in overtime in Reno on Jan. 6, while winning in Moscow, 69-63 on Feb. 17.

Results for all of Nevada's games, including livestats and audio streaming will be available at the Pack's official website at nevadawolfpack.com.
