SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team, coming off a victory in its last match, fell to No. 64 Santa Clara by a final score of 5-2 Saturday.
The Broncos defended their home court with the win, coming back from an early 1-0 deficit after Nevada earned the doubles point. Victories for Nevada came at doubles No. 2 and No. 3, and at Singles No. 3.
Lais Ogata earned Nevada's second point with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Alexandra Zaniewski of Santa Clara.
Nevada fell to 2-7 on the year while Santa Clara moved to 11-2.
Concluding its road trip with one more match in northern California, the Wolf Pack will take on Pacific Sunday on the Tiger's home court.
