LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's basketball team will compete in the 2011 WAC Tournament Thursday at 6 p.m. at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.  Nevada enters the tournament as the fourth seed, receiving a bye in Wednesday's first round.

The Wolf Pack will play Idaho who defeated Boise State 70-59 in the 6 p.m. game on Wednesday night.  Nevada split with Idaho this season with the Vandals winning 61-56 in overtime in Reno on Jan. 6, with Nevada winning in Moscow, 69-63 on Feb. 17.

The Western Athletic Conference announced its 2010-11 women's basketball All-WAC teams Monday following a vote by the head coaches in the league.  Nevada had two players honored with All-WAC and All-Defensive team awards.

Senior captain Shavon Moore became the second player since Nevada joined the WAC in 2000 to win WAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dellena Criner was the first, winning it twice in 2007-08 and 2008-09.  A 6-1 forward from Riverside, Calif., Moore averaged 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 0.9 blocks per game in WAC play. She was also named first team all-WAC and to the all-Defensive team.

Fellow senior captain Tahnee Robinson also won WAC honors being named to the first-team alongside Moore.  Robinson is currently one of five finalists for the Sullivan Award given to the nation's top amateur athlete.  She has spent all year as one of the top-15 scorers in the nation, currently sitting at 10th with 21.7 ppg and 21st with 2.8 three-pointers per game.

The University of Nevada women's basketball team ended its regular season in historic fashion, recording its first 20-win season in program history.  The Pack accomplished the feat with benchmark wins over NC State and San Diego State at the John Ascuaga's Nugget Classic Nov. 26-27, followed by home wins over Arizona Dec. 2, BYU Jan. 1 and LA Tech Feb. 28.  Nevada now looks to keep its record setting season going as it enters WAC Tournament play.
