SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team (1-2) fell to No. 49 Sacramento State on the road by a final score of 5-2 Friday.
The Wolf Pack fell behind 1-0 after Sacramento State earned the doubles point and could not recover in the singles matches.
Michelle Okhremchuk and Aodhnait Lombard were bright spots for Nevada, playing out of the No. 2 and three positions respectively.
Okhremchuk defeated Rebeca Delgado in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-4. Lombard defeated Maria Meliuk in three sets, earning the second point on the day for Nevada.
Individually ranked at No. 77, Tatsiana Kapshai defeated Emma Verberne of Nevada 6-3, 6-1.
Nevada will take on Arizona Saturday, looking to bounce back from the loss to the Hornets.
