UPDATE: Inclement weather, causing travel issues, has forced the Nevada-UC Davis match to be re-scheduled to March 29 at 11 a.m.

RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team (1-6) will take on two non-conference foes this weekend, as it competes against UC Davis (8-2, 3-0 Big West) Saturday at 11 a.m. and the University of San Francisco (1-4) Sunday at 1 p.m.

Nevada is coming off a loss to No. 42 Long Beach State, on the road in southern California, Sunday, Feb. 13.  So far in 2011, Nevada has played matches against four team ranked in the pre-season by the ITA, including Arizona, Sacramento State and Long Beach State. All three of those teams were ranked 50th or better nationally when they took on the Wolf Pack.

For the Pack, the absence of senior leader Florence De Vrye has led to head coach Sylvain Malroux juggling his top six in an attempt to find a winning combination.  True Freshmen Gabriela Eufrasio and Michelle Okhremchuk have stepped in, playing especially well on the doubles court.  The pair has posted a 3-1 record as a doubles team.

UC Davis is coming off a 5-2 victory over UC Irvine in its last match, has wins over Iowa State and San Francisco in the non-conference and has won seven consecutive matches.  In conference, the Aggies have defeated Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge and UCI.

USF's 6-1 loss to UC Davis, February 5, was its last match and dropped the Dons to 1-4 overall.  They have not competed within their conference so far in 2011.  Inclement weather has caused significant issues for the Dons in recent weeks, cancelling or postponing their last four matches.

The Pack will set out on the road for one more weekend after this one before it returns home to take on New Mexico State, Sunday, March 13.
