BOISE, Idaho -The University of Nevada women's basketball team continues its two-game road trip when it travels to face Boise State on Saturday, Feb. 19. Nevada is currently 18-7 (7-5 WAC) looking to tie a school record for wins in a season with 19 on its way to hopefully becoming the first team in the school's record book to collect a 20-win season.
Nevada is currently in sole possession of fourth place in the WAC, sitting behind Utah State at 7-4. The Wolf Pack bumped Idaho out of a tie for fourth after defeating the Vandals Thursday, 69-63. The top-four teams from the regular season get at least one bye in the WAC Tournament in three weeks.
Boise State is Nevada's longest series currently at 44 games. Nevada trails the Broncos 13-31 as Boise State won 12 straight from 1987-1997. The Pack has won five of the last seven, taking the most recent game this year 68-51 in Reno on Jan. 8, 2011. Nevada has gone 10-13 against the Broncos in Reno, but struggled throughout the series in Boise winning just three games. The last time the Pack won in Boise was on Jan. 24, 1998, winning 46-45.
Nevada avenged its first WAC loss of the season Thursday when it claimed a 69-63 victory at Idaho. For the 18th time this season, senior Tahnee Robinson led all scorers with 27, her sixth-straight game of 20-points or more. Robinson was the key to the second half comeback as she had just three points in the first half.
