LONG BEACH, Calif. -- The University of Nevada women's tennis team was defeated by the No. 42 ranked team in the country, the Long Beach State 49ers, 7-0 on the road Sunday.
Nevada moved to 1-6 with the loss, winning against Loyola Marymount earlier in the Spring season.
Against the 49ers Sunday, the doubles team of Gabriela Eufrasio and Michelle Okhremchuk got a 8-5 victory. Also a bright spot for the Wolf Pack in the loss was Aodhnait Lombard, who pushed Deborah Armstrong to three sets, falling 10-3 in a tiebreaker.
The win was the third in four days for LBSU and moved them to 5-1 on the year.
Nevada will return to action February 26 at UC Davis.
