EUGENE, Ore. - Nevada senior Wessim Derbel concluded another deep run into a singles bracket this fall, reaching the semifinals of the main flight at the Pacific Northwest Regional Invitational Saturday.

The La Marsa, Tunisia native defeated Daniel Sardu of Oregon 7-6, 6-3 before falling in his semifinal contest.

As a team, the University of Nevada men won twice in main-draw play, with Derbel's green-flight victory being accompanied by Fernando Sunago's 6-2, 7-5 victory in the yellow flight. He defeated Daniel Coelho of Fresno-Pacific University.

In doubles play, the team of Victor Ouvrard and Moez Echargui also made a semifinals appearance, falling to Jeff Mullen and Robin Cambier 8-3 in the final four.

In consolation play, Moez Erchargui won twice Saturday to reach the semifinals of the green flight. He defeated Andrew Anderson of Seattle University 6-1, 7-6 in round one and Mitch Somach 6-1, 0-6, 7-5 in round two. He will take on another player from Seattle University, Mark Shkrebtan, Saturday afternoon.
