Final Stats

MOSCOW, Idaho -- The University of Nevada women's socccer team fell 2-1 to Idaho Sunday.

The Wolf Pack now stands at 3-14 (1-4 WAC), while Idaho is 7-9-3 (3-3-1 WAC).

The game began with both teams creating chances, as they combined for 14 shots in the first half.

In the 39th minute, Idaho forward Chelsea Small scored her team-leading 10th goal to put the Vandals up 1-0. After a free ball in the box fell to Small's feet, she banked a shot off the left post and in to put her team ahead.

The Pack responded with a tally in the 69th minute, as Danielle Green scored her first goal of the season on a free kick. Taken from distance, the ball sailed over the head of Idaho keeper Caroline Towles to level the contest at one.

Bailey Hewitt's 81st minute goal proved to be the game winner. Assisted by Small and Lauren Layton, the goal came from inside the box and was her fifth of the season.

Dana Moreno started in goal for Nevada, playing the full 90 minutes. She made seven saves, three in the first half and four in the second.

Nevada commited six fouls and finished the match with 12 shots, six on goal.

Nevada will return to action at home next weekend, playing its two final regular-season matches at Mackay Stadium. The Pack will take on Fresno State on Thursday at 7 p.m. and San Jose State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
