RENO, Nev. -- The University of Nevada women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the visiting Utah State Aggies Sunday at Mackay Stadium.
The loss dropped Nevada to 3-13 (1-3 WAC), while Utah State improved to 11-4-1 (3-1 WAC).
A scoreless first half saw Nevada push the play into the Utah State half of the field with regularity, but fail to get chances on target.
In the 79th minute, Utah State scored what would be the game winner off a corner kick. Natalie Norris headed her third goal of the season into the net after taking a pass from Summer Tillotson.
The Wolf Pack continued to apply pressure to the Aggies, attempting four shots in the second half, including a notable scoring chance in the box.
Streaking down the right side of the field late in the contest, Bobby Reilly served an early cross into the box. Kori Disarufinostretched for the incoming ball with space open to the right of Aggie goalkeeper Molli Merrill. With Disarufino unable to get a touch on the cross, it bounced wide of the goal without causing any damage.
Utah State attempted a total of 12 shots, getting nine on target and forcing Nevada keeper Dana Morenoto make seven saves.
The Pack will return to action Sunday, traveling to Moscow, Idaho to take on the Vandals at noon.
