LOS ANGELES - The University of Nevada men's tennis team (1-1) fell to Loyola Marymount University by a final score of 6-1 Sunday.

Concluding a road trip that opened the year for the Wolf Pack, the men got out to an early lead after winning the doubles point, but were swept in singles play.

The teams of Wessim Derbel and Quentin Mege and Victor Ouvrard and Kristian Kuharszky won their matches to stake the Pack to the early 1-0 lead.

Mege also fought hard in his singles match, taking it to the third set and falling extremely late, 11-9.

The match played at the No. 1 position was also close, as Wessim Derbel fell by tiebreaker in each set, losing 7-6, 7-6.

Nevada will return to action next Sunday against Sacramento State, in Sacramento, Calif.
