Box Score HONOLULU - The University of Nevada (6-7, 0-1 WAC) volleyball team lost 3-0 at #5 Hawai'i (12-1, 2-0 WAC) on Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-20.  The loss was the Western Athletic Conference opener for the Wolf Pack and they are now 6-7 on the season.  The Rainbow Wahine improved to 2-0 in conference play and is 12-1 overall.

UH scored the first six points of set one and never trailed in winning 25-19.   Both teams struggled offensively as Nevada hit .106 and the Rainbow Wahine .195.

In set two UH built a seven-point advantage at 13-6 and went on to win 25-18 to take a 2-0 advantage into the break.  Nevada improved its attack percentage to .207 but Hawai'i was better at .375.

Set three was tied for the fourth time at 9-9 before UH scored the next three points to move in front 12-9.  Nevada got within a point at 12-11 but was unable to catch #5 Hawai'i falling 25-20 in the final set and dropping the match 3-0.  The Wolf Pack produced its best hitting set of the match at .211 and UH hit .324.

Senior's Kylie Harrington and Lindsay Baldwin led the team with eight kills apiece.  Setter Tatiana Santiago dished out 29 assists and libero Nicole Link had 13 digs.

Kanani Danielson and Emily Hartong totaled 12 and 11 kills respectively to top UH.  Danielson added 10 digs to post a double-double in the match.  Setter Dani Mafua finished with 33 assists and Elizabeth Ka'aihue had 22 digs.

UH hit .283 compared to .167 for Nevada.  The Rainbow Wahine had seven blocks and the Wolf Pack five. 

Nevada will next play at UNLV on Monday at 7 p.m.
