RENO, Nev. -- The University of Nevada women's tennis team will travel to the Nike Cal Invitational Friday for their first Fall competition of the year. Seniors Aodhnait Lombard, Florence DeVrye and Lais Ogata, as well as freshman Michelle Okremchk will compete for the Pack in this non-dual meet competition.

The tournament will feature two 32-woman singles flights (Gold and Blue) and one 16-woman singles flight (White) as well as two 16-team doubles flights (Gold and Blue) and one eight-team doubles flight (White). Play begins at 8 a.m. PT on Friday, Sept. 24, with the first round of doubles matches in all flights. Championship matches will take place in the afternoon on Sunday, Sept. 26.

Some of the top collegiate women's tennis talent in the nation will be on hand as players from 14 schools including Cal participate in action this weekend. Players will come from Arizona, Arizona State, Brigham Young, Fresno State, Minnesota, Long Beach State, Nevada, Pacific, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, USC, Saint Mary's College and San Jose State. 10 top-100 singles players and three ranked doubles teams will take the courts in Berkeley.
