Box Score COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Nevada (1-2) volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Maryland (2-1) in its final match of the Tiger Invitational at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo. today.  The loss leaves the Wolf Pack 1-2 after the opening weekend of play while Maryland improved to 2-1.
 Senior middle blocker Lindsay Baldwin was named to the Tiger Invitational All-Tournament for her play as the Pack went 1-2.  Baldwin averaged 2.18 kills and 2.55 points starting all three matches. 
In set one the Terrapins used a 6-0 run to break a 13-13 tie but the Pack rallied to knot the score once again at 22-22 before Maryland scored the final three points to win 25-22.  Nevada struggled hitting .136 compared to .357 for the Terps.
 Nevada led set two 4-1 and never trailed in winning 25-15 to even the match at one set apiece.  Leading 17-14 the Pack closed out the set with an 8-1 run to claim victory.  The Wolf Pack hit .280 and held the Terps to a .034 attack percentage.
 Maryland took control of the third set building a 15-3 advantage on the way to the 25-14 victory and a 2-1 lead in the match.  Nevada finished with an attack percentage of zero and the Terps hit .321.
 Needing a victory in set four to force a deciding fifth, the Pack tied the set for the sixth and final time at 11-11 but Maryland put together a 14-9 run to win 25-19 and take the set 3-1.  The Pack hit .086 in the final set and the Terps .219.
 Senior Kylie Harrington led the Pack with 11 kills.  Junior setter Tatiana Santiago posted a double-double with 33 assists and 10 digs.  Defensive specialist Kelly Chang finished with a match-high 14 digs and libero Nicole Link added 13.
 Mary Cushman and Lisa Scott had 13 and 11 kills respectively to top the Terps.  Setter Remy McBain recorded a double-double with 41 assists and 12 digs.  Bethany Springer led Maryland with 12 digs.
 For the match Maryland hit .244 and Nevada .124.  The Terps totaled 9.5 block with Scott having a match-high five.  Senior Brittini Yates topped the Wolf Pack with four blocks as the team totaled seven.
 Nevada returns home to host the four-team Nevada Invitational sponsored by Ramada and Best Western Airport Plaza next weekend.  The Pack opens the tournament on Friday at 6:00 p.m. versus Belmont at the Virginia Street Gym.  Saturday they take on Weber State at noon and Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m.
