Mesa, Ariz. - The University of Nevada women's golf team finished in seventh place at the 2010 Western Athletic Conference held Monday-Wednesday, April 19-21 at the par-71, 6,146-yard Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz. 

The Wolf Pack carded an 33-over 317 in the final round and finished seventh with a three-round total of 103-over 955 (324-314-317).

Defending champion San Jose State won the seven-team conference tournament and captured the WAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals with a three-round total of 66-over 918 (304-302-312). The Spartans captured a one-stroke lead over second-place Hawaii (305-303-311=919). Idaho finished third (308-303-309=920), followed by Fresno State (306-316-302=924), New Mexico State (312-302317=931), Boise State (311-311-325=947) and Nevada (955).

For Nevada, sophomore Jamie Yam finished 18th with a three-round total of 24-over 237 (81-77-79). For Yam, it marked her sixth top 20 finish of the season. The WAC announced its postseason awards following Wednesday's competition, and Yam earned Second Team All-WAC honors.

Junior Lauren Hernandez turned in her fourth top 20 finish of the season as she tied for 19th at 25-over 238 (83-77-78) and freshman Eugenia Guerra tied for 24th with a three-round total of 27-over (78-82-80). Freshman Louise Yi came in 29th carding 30-over 243 (82-78-83) while sophomore Alex Borcherts rounded out the Pack coming in 35th at 35-over 248 (83-85-80), respectively.

Fresno State's Hali Coppin captured the individual WAC championship with a final-round of two-over 73  and a three-day total of eight-over 221 (74-74-73).

Idaho sophomore Kayla Mortellaro was voted the WAC's Player of the Year by the seven head coaches. Freshman of the year honors went to Hawaii's Kaili Britos and Coach of the Year honors went to Idaho's Lisa Johnson.

The NCAA will announce its regional field of 63 teams and nine individuals (21 teams and three individuals at each site) at 1 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday, April 26.
