The Nevada volleyball team released its 2010 fall schedule today. The schedule includes a very challenging preseason schedule, with opponents coming from a variety of conferences, including the Pac-10 , Big East and Big Ten.
"I am extremely pleased with our non-conference schedule for fall 2010," said head coach Devin Scruggs. "We play two Pac-10 teams; Arizona and Oregon State, with Arizona at home in our second home weekend. In addition, Big East powerhouse Notre Dame will be here in Reno for our opening home weekend."
The non-conference schedule will also take the Nevada volleyball team all over the country as they open their season in Missouri.
"We will be on the road against Big 12 team Missouri to open the season at their tournament and back to the west coast to finish off the pre-season at U.C. Davis," said Scruggs.
The team will begin its conference season at Hawaii and will then play each of the teams in the conference twice. The season will finish at the WAC tournament in Las Vegas.
Scruggs says that the team will see its fair share of success as well as a number of growing experiences this season.
"We certainly have some very challenging matches this pre-season combined with a balanced number of matches that we should see success in the in the win column," Scruggs said.
