Postgame Notes:
- With the 100-92 win over New Mexico State on Thursday night at Lawlor Events Center, Nevada improved to 18-11 overall and 10-5 in WAC play, while NMSU is now 19-10 overall and 11-4 in the WAC.
- The Wolf Pack is now 13-1 at home this year and has won five consecutive home games. Nevada also won for the 32nd time in its last 38 WAC regular-season games and is 99-18 overall at Lawlor Events Center since the start of the 2003-04 season.
- Senior Brandon Fields led the Wolf Pack in scoring for the third consecutive game, turning in a career-best 32 points on 11-of-15 shooting. It marked the fifth time this year that he has led the team and his third consecutive game with at least 20 points.
- Fields also turned in a career-high nine assists in the game and pulled down seven rebounds.
- Sophomore Luke Babbitt added 23 points for his 19th 20-point game of the year. Babbitt scored 18 of his 23 in the second half. He made 11 of 12 free throw attempts and pulled down nine rebounds in the ball game.
- Senior Joey Shaw added 15 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore Dario Hunt had 14 points and six rebounds.
- Nevada reached the 100-point mark for the third time this season, marking the first time since the 1991-92 season that the team has scored 100 three times. That year, Nevada turned in four 100-point contests. Tonight also marked the first time Nevada has reached 100 points in WAC play since a 101-76 win over Rice on Jan. 24, 2004. The Wolf Pack's 59 second-half points were also the most for the team this year.
- Nevada outrebounded New Mexico State 42-35, marking just the third time in the last 13 games that Nevada has outrebounded its opponent. The 42 boards were the second-most for Nevada since entering WAC play.
- The Wolf Pack shot 56.5 percent in the game, including a blazing 64.3 percent (18-28) in the second half. That marked the best shooting performance since the team shot 58.8 percent vs. BYU on Dec. 22, while the Wolf Pack is now 11-1 when shooting 50 percent or better.
- Johnson led the team with 11 assists, marking the third time this year that he has dished out 10 or more assists. As a team, the Wolf Pack dished out 23 assists.
- Nevada ends the regular season on Saturday night, playing host to Louisiana Tech at 7:05 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center. Saturday is Senior Night as Nevada will honor its three seniors - Brandon Fields, Ray Kraemer and Joey Shaw - as well as graduate Richie Phillips prior to Saturday's game, which can be heard on Nevada's flagship, ESPN 630 AM, with Ryan Radtke and former Nevada head coach Len Stevens calling the action.
