Postgame Notes:
- With the 85-83 loss at Rhode Island Monday night in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament, Nevada ends the 2009-10 season with a 21-13 overall record, while Rhode Island improves to 25-9. This season marked Nevada's seventh consecutive year with at least 20 victories and its ninth straight winning season (both school records).
- The Wolf Pack fell to to 3-4 all time in the NIT.
- The team also ends the season with a 5-10 road record.
- Senior Brandon Fields led the team in scoring for the sixth time this season, turning in 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from the free throw line. It marked his eighth game with at least 20 points this season. Fields ends his Nevada career with 1,271 points in 132 career games, which ranks 13th on the Wolf Pack career scoring list.
- Fields led four Wolf Pack players in double figures for scoring. Sophomore Luke Babbitt had 14, junior Armon Johnson added 13 and senior Joey Shaw had 12 points in his final Wolf Pack game.
- Babbitt tied his season low for scoring with 14 on just 2-of-14 shooting but made all 10 of his free throw attempts to set the school record for consecutive free throws made at 34, a streak that dates back to the 1:50 mark of the second half of the March 6 La Tech game. He broke Todd Okeson's previous mark of 28 straight in 2003-04.
- Babbitt also set the school single-season record for free throws made (199) and free throw percentage (.917). He also ranks first in career free throw percentage at 89.3 (351-393) and made 96.4 percent of his free throw attempts over the last 11 games of the year (80-83).
- Babbitt finished with 743 points this season, which is the school single-season scoring record and the most points ever by a Wolf Pack sophomore. In his two seasons, Babbitt has scored 1,316 career points, which ranks 12th all time at Nevada.
- Johnson ends his season with 1,441 career points, which is ninth on the Nevada career scoring charts, and ranks fourth on Nevada's career assists with 445. He also finishes fifth on the Wolf Pack single-season assists list with 189.
- Nevada outrebounded Rhode Island 52-35, marking just the seventh time in the last 18 games that the Wolf Pack has outrebounded its opponent. Sophomore Dario Hunt led the team in rebounding for the eighth time this year with 10 boards, his third double-digit rebounding game this season.
- The Wolf Pack turned in the ball over 16 times Monday which led to 23 points off turnovers by the Rams.
- Nevada made 89.3 percent of its free throw attempts in the game (25-28) and made 90.6 percent of its free throw attempts (58-64) free throws in its final three games this year.
