Postgame Notes:

- With the 80-79 loss to New Mexico State on Friday night at Lawlor Events Center, second-seeded Nevada fell to 20-12 overall, while third-seeded New Mexico State improved to 21-11.

- The Wolf Pack fell to 15-2 at Lawlor Events Center this year and saw its seven-game home winning streak snapped. Nevada lost for just the eighth time in the last 47 home games against WAC opponents and is now 101-19 overall at Lawlor Events Center since the start of the 2003-04 season.

- Sophomore Luke Babbitt led the team in scoring for the 20th time this year with a career-high 33 points. He made 10-of-19 field goal attempts, including three three-pointers, and all 10 of his free throw attempts in the game.

- It marked his second career game with at least 30 points and is the most points by a Wolf Pack player this season.

- With 706 points so far this season, Babbitt has moved into second on Nevada's single-season chart, just 15 points behind the school-record 721 Nick Fazekas scored in 2005-06. He is also 12th on the Nevada career scoring chart with 1,279 points.

 - Senior Joey Shaw and junior Armon Johnson each added 13 points for the Wolf Pack.

- Johnson turned in his third career double-double with 10 assists. It marked his fourth game this season with 10 or more assists, while he also moved into a tie for fifth on Nevada's career list for assists with 437.

-  Nevada shot 50.0 percent from the field in the game (28-56) and is now 12-2 on the year when shooting over 50 percent from the field.

- One night after shooting a season-high 55.6 percent from three-point land (10-18), the Wolf Pack made just 29.2 percent of its attempts from beyond the arc tonight (7-24).

- New Mexico State outrebounded Nevada 34-31, marking the 10th time in the last 16 games that the Wolf Pack has been outrebounded.

- Babbitt led the Wolf Pack in rebounding for the 24th time this year with eight boards.

- Nevada will now await potential selection to a postseason tournament. Postseason bids will be announced on Sunday.
