About This Game
After dropping back-to-back WAC games for the first time this year, Nevada will look to rebound Wednesday when the team hosts New Mexico State at 7 p.m. This season the Pack is 11-3 at home and hasn't lost at Lawlor Events Center since January 21, 2010. A win on Wednesday would give the Pack 10 conference wins this season which would tie the program record for most conference wins in a season with the 1997-98, 2006-07 and 2008-09 teams.
About the Nevada Wolf Pack
Nevada is coming off a 69-56 loss at LA Tech on Saturday. Tahnee Robinson led Nevada with 17 points while Nicole Williams added 11 and Marissa Hammond scored seven. Marianne Lombardi recorded a season-high 12 rebounds while Shavon Moore recorded six.
As a team, the Pack is shooting 40.3 percent from the floor, 31.8 from three-point range and 70.0 percent from the free throw line. Nevada is averaging 63.2 points per game while its opponents are averaging 61.5 points per game. The Pack is outrebounding its opponents by an average of 5.6 boards per game. Nevada is averaging 8.6 steals per game and 12.5 assists per game.
The Pack is led in scoring by Tahnee Robinson (15.4 ppg), Shavon Moore (11.1 ppg) and Johnna Ward (9.6 ppg). Kayla Williams leads the team in rebounding (7.2 rpg) while Shavon Moore is second averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.

Upcoming Game Promotions
- March 3: For this game Nevada has reached out to the local Native American community to put on a Native American Appreciation Night. Flyers were sent out to local tribes/Native American groups and it will allow up to four in for free if they bring the flyer to the game. - March 6: In addition to being Senior Night, Nevada is partnering with the Nevada Humane Society and asking all fans to donate dog/cat food or supplies to get in for free.
About the New Mexico State Aggies
New Mexico State is 17-11 overall and 7-7 in WAC play. The Aggies are coming off a 73-54 win over Utah State on Feb. 23 which snapped a three-game losing streak.
NMSU is led by Crystal Boyd (15.3 ppg; 7.9 rpg), Jasmine Lowe (14.1 ppg and Madison Spence who averages 11.2 points per game. Tabytha Wampler is second on the team in rebounding averaging 7.0 rpg.
NMSU is coached by seventh-year head coach Darin Spence.
Nevada News and Notes
-Nevada dropped back-to-back WAC games for the first time this year after falling at Fresno State and at LA Tech. It marked the first time Nevada fell in back-to-back games since 12/20/09 - 1/2/10.
- Senior Marianne Lombardi recorded a season-high and game-high 12 rebounds against LA Tech. She was one board away from tying her career high of 13 set in 2007 against Stephen F. Austin.
- Tahnee Robinson led Nevada against LA Tech with 17 points, two assists and one steal in a team-high 37 minutes for Nevada.
- Nevada attempted a season-low seven free throws at Fresno State and made a season-low four against the Bulldogs.
- Marissa Hammond scored in double figures for the Pack with 10 points against Fresno State marking the fourth time this year she has scored in double figures.
- Fresno State came back from a 15-point deficit to beat Nevada marking Nevada's biggest lead blow this season. Last year, NMSU came back from 17 down to beat Nevada.
- Johnna Ward is six three-pointers away from sole possession of 10th on Nevada's single-season chart while Tahnee Robinson is eight three-pointers away from 10th place. Robinson and Ward each need 50 for the season to pass Ashley Bastian who recorded 49 during the 2001-02 season.
- Nevada recorded a season-high 22 offensive rebounds in the win versus Hawai'i and turned those 22 offensive boards into 20 points.
- In WAC play, juniors Johnna Ward and Tahnee Robinson have accounted for 56 of Nevada's 60 three's.
- In all 28 games Ward and Robinson have accounted for 86 of Nevada's 109 three pointers made.
- Tahnee Robinson recorded a career-high five assists against Hawai'i and added four a game later at Fresno State.
- After using four different starting lineups during non-conference play, Nevada has used the same starting lineup for all 14 conference games (Robinson, Ward, Johnson, K. Williams and Moore).
- Nevada's win over Utah State was the Pack's 10th home win of the year marking the fourth straight year Nevada has recorded at least 10 home wins per year. Nevada's win over Hawai'i gave the Pack 11 home wins this year.
- Since joining the WAC in 2000, the most home wins Nevada has recorded is 13 set last season. Nevada has recorded 12 home wins twice since joining the WAC (the 2000-01 and 2007-08 seasons).
- Nevada had four players score in double figures against Utah State marking first time since the Fresno State game on January 21 that the team had four players score in double figures.
- Point guard Amanda Johnson recorded six assists versus Hawai'i marking the fourth time this season she recorded five or more assists in a game.
- Tahnee Robinson leads the team with the most points scored in a game this year with 25. She scored a career-high 25 twice this year at Hawai'i and against LA Tech.
- Two players are averaging in double figures in Nevada's WAC games this year: Tahnee Robinson (16.9 ppg) and Shavon Moore (11.1 ppg). Robinson is fourth in WAC games in scoring (16.9 ppg).
- Nevada recorded 25 turnovers or less in 12 games (from Jan. 6- Feb. 15) including a season-low 10 vs. Utah State, and was 9-3 in those games. Prior to those seven games, the Pack recorded 25 or more turnovers in seven straight games and went 1-6 in those games.
- Four players have recorded a total of 10 20-point games this season: Tahnee Robinson (5); Shavon Moore (3); Johnna Ward (1) and Nicole Williams (1).
- In each of the team's 15 wins this year the Pack is shooting 43.6 percent from the floor compared to the 36.3 percent Nevada is shooting from the floor in its 13 losses.
Pack has Chance to Record Most Conference Wins in Program History
With two WAC games left this year, the Pack has a chance to break the school record for conference wins in a season. Nevada is currently 9-5 in WAC play and would need one win to tie and two wins to break the school record for conference wins in a season. The 1997-98, 2006-07 and 2008-09 teams each recorded 10 conference wins.
Two Guards Have Positive Assist to Turnover Ratios in WAC Play
Point guard Amanda Johnson and guard Tahnee Robinson each have a positive assist to turnover ratio for Nevada in WAC games. Johnson has recorded 52 assists in WAC play to 43 turnovers while Robinson has recorded 32 assists in conference play to 30 turnovers.
Robinson Tied Second Longest Streak for Consecutive Games in Double Figures Since Nevada Joined the WAC
Junior transfer Tahnee Robinson has scored in double figures in 17 of her 19 career games for Nevada including 14 consecutive games from December 30, 2009 - February 15, 2010. Robinson tied Dellena Criner (14 games, from December 7, 2008 to February 8, 2009) and Kate Smith (14 games, from January 17, 2002 to March 6, 2002) for the second longest streak since the team joined the WAC in 2000. Smith holds the record for most consecutive games scored in double figures in the team joined the WAC (23 games, December 9, 2000 to March 7, 2001).
Ward Gets 700th Career Point
Junior Johnna Ward, who recorded her 500th career point earlier this season at St. Mary's with a 21-point effort, passed the 600 career point mark at BYU and hit 700 with free throws early in the game against Hawai'i. Ward is third on the team averaging 9.6 ppg and has 721 career points.
Johnson Nearing 10th Place on Single-Season Assist List
Sophomore point guard Amanda Johnson has recorded a team-leading 82 assists this year. She recorded a career-high eight assists versus LA Tech and has recorded five or more assists in four games this year. For her career she has recorded 96 assists. Johnson, who is averaging 2.92 assists per game, is 15 assists from sole possession of 10th on Nevada's single-season assist list.
Moore Records 600th Career Point
With her 15 points against San Jose State, junior forward Shavon Moore hit the 600 career point mark. Moore, who has 656 career points, joins Johnna Ward as the two active 600 career point scorers for the Pack (Ward has 721 career points while Moore has 655).
Biggest Home Crowd this Year
The 1,572 fans that watched the Nevada/San Jose State game was the biggest home crowd this season and was the third biggest crowd the Pack has played in front of this year. This season, the Pack has had five home games with over 1,000 fans in attendance.
Twenty-Four of 28 Games Decided by Double-Digit Figures
One of the Pack's 27 games this year has been decided by five points or less (a four-point win at NMSU) and only three have been decided by five to nine points. Fifteen games have been decided by 10-19 points with Nevada holding a 8-7 record in those games. Nine games have been decided by 20 or more points with Nevada holding a 5-4 record.
Moore Nearing 500th Career Rebound
Junior Shavon Moore has recorded 461 rebounds and is 39 rebounds away from 500 for her career. Moore, who this season is second on the team in rebounding averaging 6.7 boards per game, is 93 rebounds from sole possession of 10th all-time in Nevada's record book.
Albright Fourth All-Time in Wins at Nevada
Second-year head coach Jane Albright is fourth all-time in wins at Nevada with 33. She trails Ada Gee (117), Kim Gervasoni (59) and Anne Hope (44). Last season Albright became the winningest first-year head coach with 18 wins passing Julie Hickey who recorded 12 wins in 1981. Albright has a winning percentage of .542 (32-27) which is the highest winning percentage in program history.
Lombardi on Track to be Second All-Time in Games Played
Senior Marianne Lombardi, who has played in all 28 games this year, is on track to tie former teammate Brandi Jones for second all-time in games played. Lombardi has played in 120 career games for Nevada and the Pack has two regular-season games remaining. If Lombardi plays in the two remaining games she will tie Jones for second all-time with 122 games. Depending on Nevada's WAC Tournament play Lombardi could become the all-time leader passing Dellena Criner who played in 124 career games.
Moore 11th All-Time in Free Throws Made
Junior Shavon Moore is 11th all-time in free throws made with 155. She is 23 free throws away from cracking the career top-10. This season Moore is leading the team in free throws made (77), free throws attempted (105) and is shooting 73.3 percent.
The Pack Successful at Home
Since the beginning of the 2007-08 season, Nevada has recorded a 36-10 record at Lawlor Events Center. Last season the Pack finished the year 13-4 at home while the team recorded a 12-3 record at Lawlor Events Center during the 2007-08 season. This season, Nevada is 11-3 at home.
Hot From the Free Throw Line
Through 28 games this season, Nevada is shooting 70.7 percent from the free throw line as a team. Five players are shooting 70 percent or better and two players are shooting 80 percent or better. As a team, the Pack made a season-high 26 free throws versus Utah State and attempted a season-high 34 versus Utah State Nevada shot a season high 95 percent from the line at vs. Cal (19-of-20).
Sharing the Ball
Through 28 games of the year the Pack has recorded 350 assists on 626 field goals, an average of 12.5 assists per game. The Pack recorded a season-high 26 assists against Sacramento State, three shy of tying the program record of 29 set in both 2001 and 2006. Amanda Johnson leads the team in assists (82) followed by Johnna Ward (48) and Nicole Williams (46).
Ward Fifth All-Time in Career Three Pointers
Junior Johnna Ward entered the game against Sacramento State with 95 career three pointers. She tied her career high and made five three pointers in the game to get to 100 for her career. Ward, who has made a team-leading 44 three pointers this year, has recorded 129 in her career and is fifth all-time. She became the fifth player in program history to record at least 100 career three pointers. Nevada's career leader in three pointers made is Ashley Bastian who made 212 during her career at Nevada from 1999-03.
Rebounding Advantage
Dating back to the beginning of the 2008-09 season, Nevada has outrebounded or tied its opponents in rebounding in 39 games. Nevada outrebounded its opponents in nine straight games from December 4 until January 13.
