BOISE, Idaho - The University of Nevada women's basketball team had three players score in double figures but the Pack fell at Boise State, 65-51, Wednesday night in Boise, Idaho.
With the loss Nevada fell to 13-11 overall (7-3 WAC) while Boise State improved to 15-9 overall (4-6 WAC).
After four ties in the first four minutes of the game Boise State used a 16-1 run to go ahead 25-12 with 9:10 left in the half. During that run the Broncos held the Pack without a field goal for seven minutes and eight seconds.
A pair of field goals from Tahnee Robinson cut Boise State's lead to 11, 27-16, with 8:25 left in the first half. Boise State quickly pushed its lead back up, going on top by 19, 35-16, with 3:24 remaining in the first half. Boise State had a 19-point lead at half, 39-20.
Robinson and Shavon Moore led the Pack at the half with six points each. Robinson also led the team with four boards as the Pack was outrebounded 22-to-13 in the first half. Nevada shot 27.6 percent (8-of-29) from the floor in the half while Boise State shot 58.3 percent (14-of-24).
Nevada cut Boise State's lead to 16 early in the second half, 41-25, with 18:53 to play. The Bronco's pushed its lead back to 20-points, 51-31, with just under 13 minutes left in the game.
Boise State used a 9-0 run to go up by 26, 62-36, with 7:14 to play. Nevada cut the lead to 16 on a pair of free throws by Moore as the Broncos went on to post the 65-51 win.
Moore led the Pack with 13 points while Robinson scored 11 and Nicole Williams added 10. Moore recorded six rebounds while four players recorded four rebounds each for the Pack. Nevada shot 33.3 percent (18-of-54) from the floor.
Nevada will host Utah State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in a doubleheader with the men's team who will play Boise State at 7 p.m.
