With the win, No. 14/17 Nevada ...
- Improved to 12-1 on the season (7-1 in WAC play), 502-435-33 overall (104th season) and 122-95 as an FBS school.
- Coach Chris Ault improved to 217-97-1 in his 26-year career.
- Improved its advantage in the all-time series to 7-4.

WAC CHAMPIONS: With the win, Nevada moved to 7-1 in the Western Athletic Conference  and claimed a share of the conference title for the first time since 2005. Nevada, Boise State and Hawaii each finished 7-1 in league play and will share the WAC title.

KAEPERNICK TIES CROUCH: With three rushing touchdowns on the day, Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick tied Eric Crouch for most rushing TDs by a quarterback in NCAA history. Kaepernick entered the game in third place with 56 and tied Florida's Tim Tebow at 57 with a first-half score. He then moved past Tebow with a 5-yard run in the second quarter. Kaepernick tied Crouch, the former Heisman Trophy winner at Nebraska, with a 28-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter on a fourth-down play.
With the 59 rushing touchdowns, Kaepernick also became the WAC's all-time rushing touchdown leader, passing former Boise State running back Ian Johnson (58). Kaepernick is two touchdowns shy of tying Marshall Faulk for total touchdowns in a career as Kaepernick has 60 and Faulk at 62 while at San Diego State.

KAEPERNICK OVER 4,000 YARDS FOR HIS CAREER: With 155 yards on the day, Colin Kaepernick became just the third quarterback in NCAA history to eclipse the 4,000-yard mark in his career. He entered the game 65 yards shy of the mark and hit the milestone with his spectacular 28-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. He now has 4,090 rushing yards in his career to go along with 9,906 passing yards. He is the only player in the history of college football to pass for at least 9,000 yards and rush for at least 4,000 yards.

TOTAL OFFENSE AND RUSHING TOUCHDOWNS RECORDS: Nevada set a pair of team records on Saturday.
The Wolf Pack broke the team record for total offense in a season. The record was 6,611 yards in 2008. Nevada entered the game with 6,443 yards this season and racked up 519 yards on Saturday for 7,130 yards on the season.
Nevada also broke the school record for rushing touchdowns in a season as Taua and Kaepernick each scored rushing TDs in the first half en route to five total on the day. The previous mark was 48, set in 2009. Nevada now has 52 rushing touchdowns this season.
Other single-season team records that Nevada has set this year:
Team points scored: 554 (Previous: 497 in 1996 and again in 2009).
Team touchdowns: 75 (Previous: 70 in 1948).
Team extra points: 74 entering (Previous 63 in 1995 and 2008).

MOCH BREAKS HIS OWN RECORD: With a pair of tackles for loss against Louisiana Tech, Dontay Moch moved his season total to 22, which breaks his own single-season record. Moch had 20.0 TFLs last year and entered this game with the same amount. He now has 63.0 and is alone in sixth place in all-time NCAA history.

Points scored: Vai Taua now has 126 points scored (Previous record: Chris Lemon 114 in 1997).
Touchdowns: Vai Taua now has 22 touchdowns (Previous record: Chris Lemon with 19 in 1997).
Rushing Touchdowns: Colin Kaepernick now has 20 rushing touchdowns, which is tied for the single-season record held by Chris Lemon (1997).

ET CETERA: Tech won the toss and elected to receive while Nevada defended the north goal ... Nevada did not score on its opening drive or in the first quarter at all for just the third time this season ... Brandon Wimberly caught a pass in the second quarter and extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 26 (all 26 games in his career) ... Chris Barker started his 26th consecutive games (all 26 of his career) ... Louisiana native Duke Williams celebrated a homecoming with nine tackles, including 1.5 for a loss ... Nevada held Tech to just 99 yards of offense in the second half.
