RENO, Nev. – University of Nevada head football coach Chris Ault and senior quarterback Colin Kaepernick will each be honored at a February banquet by the Touchdown Club of Columbus (Ohio), the group recently announced.

Ault, who recently earned his second Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honor, will receive the group’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the Feb. 5, 2001 banquet. The Touchdown Club of Columbus noted Ault’s contributions to the game and the devotion of “nearly 40 years of his career to enriching the college experience shared by students, and greatly influenced the lives of scores of student-athletes.” Previous winners of this award include the late Lamar Hunt, Archie Griffin, Sparky Anderson and Jim Brown.

Kaepernick, who recently earned his second WAC Offensive Player of the Year honor, will be presented with the group’s Award of Distinction.
