The University of Nevada women's basketball team will begin competition in the 2010 Caribbean Classic, hosted at the Aventura Spa Palace in Cancun, Mexico on Monday.

Nevada will begin competition at 1 p.m. CT with Illonis State and will continue with Ball State Tuesday at the same time.  It is the first time the Wolf Pack has ever played either school.

The Pack is off to the best starts ever in school history, opening at 7-2, a perfect 7-0 at home.  No back team has ever opened the year 7-0 at home, and only one other team has ever started 6-1.

In their last outing, Nevada defeated the Portland State Vikings (5-4) 85-57 after a two-week break from competition. Senior co-captains Tahnee Robinson and Shavon Moore led the team with a combined 50 points and 15 rebounds. Junior Kayla Williams contributed an additional 16 points, four rebounds and three blocks.

Live stats and audio streaming for both games can be found at Nevada's official website, www.nevadawolfpack.com.
