RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's basketball team (6-2) will host Portland State (3-6) Thursday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Lawlor Events Center.
Nevada defeated the Portland State Vikings 65-52 at Lawlor Events Center in front of 1,235 Wolf Pack faithful when the team's last met, Dec. 28, 2006. Former Nevada player Jessica Preslar led the team with 12 points and eight rebounds in her 32 minutes of play. Other strong performances came from Dellena Criner who had nine points and six rebounds, and Marianne Lombardi who recorded eight points. This will be the first time any members from either team have faced each other in collegiate competition.
The Wolf Pack enters the game after a two week break from competition, which was preceded by a 67-54 loss at Washington State (3-6). Senior co-captain Shavon Moore led the team with 16 points and five rebounds in 34 minutes of play. Junior Kayla Williams also put up strong numbers for the Pack, recording her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Nevada's other senior co-captain, Tahnee Robinson, finished the game with nine points and six boards.

Fans are encouraged to stick around after the game, as the Wolf Pack seniors will be available after the game to autograph 2010-11 women's basketball posters. Posters will be available throughout the game and courtside during the signing.
