The University of Nevada will take its first road trip of the young 2010-11 season with a quick trip over the Sierra Nevada Mountains to Sacramento State to face the Hornets at The Nest.  The game will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

The Wolf Pack will look to continue its success against the Hornets having won the last nine straight by an average margin of victory of 16.1 points per game.  Nevada has started the season at 2-0 for the second consecutive year having also won two in its home opening weekend last season. 

Sacramento State is currently a mirror image of Nevada with an 0-2 record losing at Pacific (94-86) and at home against Fersno State (120-93).  The Hornets are led by Kylie Kuhns who is averaging 22 ppg and 11.5 rpg.

The last time these two teams faced off, Nevada broke 100 points for the first time in 23 years, taking a 101-72 victory in the friendly confines of Lawlor Events Center last season.  Reno High graduate Christina Gough's three pointer with 19 seconds remaining in the game pushed the University of Nevada women's basketball team over 100 points for the first time since 1986. 

Several Pack players recorded career highs in the game as Shavon Moore recorded a career-high 21 points, Holly Jones scored a career-high 14 and Gough scored a career-high six.  In addition Kayla Williams recorded a career-high 13 boards while Johnna Ward made five three pointers in the game.
