The University of Nevada women's basketball team will be selling season tickets at Mackay Stadium this Saturday, Oct. 9 during the football game against San Jose State. The team and coaches will be set up at the four main entrances of Mackay Stadium starting at 6:30 p.m. and selling through halftime.
Nevada women's basketball season tickets cost $40 for adults and $20 for seniors 65 and over and children eighth grade and younger. Every fan that purchases season tickets for women's basketball also gets a special "One Fan" t-shirt. The Wolf Pack women begin their season on Sunday, Oct. 31 in an exhibition game against San Francisco State at Lawlor Events Center at 2 p.m.
The 2010-11 season looks to be a big one for a Nevada women's basketball team that is loaded with both senior leadership and some talented newcomers. The Wolf Pack returns over 90 percent of its scoring from a team that set a school record for points in a season last year (2,086). Nevada is led by an amazingly talented senior class in Tahnee Robinson, Shavon Moore, Johnna Ward, Nicole Williams, Marissa Hammond and Megan Cherry.
The Pack's schedule this season will feature seven post-season teams from a year ago, including four that played in the NCAA Tournament. Nevada's schedule also features 15 home games including the annual Nugget Classic which will feature two NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, San Diego State (Sweet 16), NC State (First Round) and a Big 10 team in Minnesota.
