LAS VEGAS -- True freshman and University of Nevada women's tennis player Michelle Okhremchuk fell in the semi-finals of the USTA/ITA Regional Championships Friday.
Each of Nevada's other participants had been eliminated prior to action Saturday.
Okhremchuk fell to Lucia Batta of UNLV in straight sets, playing to the last point after playing three separate three set matches Friday to advance.
"Michelle didn't play as well today, but she kept fighting until the end," assistant coach Rafael Lopez said. "We are extremely proud of her performance this week."
Emma Verberne, WAC Freshman of the Year in 2010, fell in the fourth round of her singles draw Friday.
Nevada will return to action at the Fresno Invitational November 12-14.
