LAS VEGAS - True freshman and University of Nevada women's tennis player Michelle Okhremchuk has advanced to the semi-finals of the USTA/ITA Regional Championships Friday.

Okhremchuk defeated two higher seeds to get a seat in the final four in Vegas and could qualify for a spot in the ITA National Indoor Championships if her good play continues.  She will face Lucia Batta of UNLV in Saturday's semifinal round, which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The singles and doubles champions from the NCAA Division I USTA/ITA Regional Championships will advance to the 2010 USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, taking place November 4-7, at the new indoor facilities at the USTA-Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, located in Flushing, New York.
