Why did you decide to come to the University of Nevada?
It was the best opportunity for me to transfer and become closer to home and be a part of a great program. I wanted to be away from California and all the distractions but kind of be close to my family.
When did you start playing basketball?
5 or 6 years old
What is your favorite basketball memory?
Winning state in high school, back-to-back years.
If you weren't playing basketball, what sport would you play?
Baseball, I'm not really into the contact like football. Baseball was my first sport. I played basketball at 5 or 6 but my dad really made me play baseball.
Where did you grow up? And what is the best thing about your hometown?
Los Angeles, California. It was where I grew up, sunny all the time, the beach, malls, friends, something to do everyday if you want to. I love it, there's nothing like LA to me.
Do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions?
Before game days I will stay in the gym by myself with my headphones, sit at half court look at the rim, look around and imagine myself playing. Before I come to the huddle I have to make 3 layups. Another ritual is that I throw water on my face in the locker room, being a "zen" sort of thing, try to relax myself.
What do you do when you're not playing basketball?
I am realxing at home, playing video games, going to the movies a lot. Just do a lot of chill things.
Who is your favorite NBA player?
LeBron James, he's a realist.
What is your favorite part about the game?
My favorite part is the fans. You make people happy, if their days are bad or if someone is really into Nevada basketball we win for them, it just makes their day. Stuff like that makes me enjoy the game and know that I'm blessed to be here playing. People who can't play this sport, aren't blessed to be doing what I'm doing, enjoy watching me and it makes me feel good about myself.
What do you like most about Nevada?
It's a chill place, great teachers, great experiences everywhere, everybody is nice.
What is the most interesting thing that you want Wolf Pack fans to know about you?
Be excited for me to play this year, I will do my best to bring a lot of wins to this program.
