RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada soccer program will hold the inaugural coaching symposium on March 6, 2010 on the campus of the University of Nevada as a fundraiser for the program.

The one-day event will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on March 6 and will take place at Legacy Hall and Mackay Stadium.  Field and lecture sessions will focus on important topics of the youth game including designing a positive training environment, fostering team and player development, incorporating the goalkeeper into team training and growing and structuring youth soccer clubs. Sessions will cover a wide-range of age groups from U-8 to U-18.

Presenters include: Nicole LaVoi, the associate director of the Tucker Center for Research and Girls and Women in Sport; Phil Wright, an instructor for the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma and Steve Quinones, the Colorado Rush Director of Goalkeeping.
