RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's golf team will open its 2009-10 season Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 21-23 at the Washington State Inland Cup held in Pullman, Wash.

ABOUT THE WSU INLAND CUP: Washington State University will play host to the tournament at the par 72, 6,126-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman. Teams will play three rounds of 18 holes with tee times starting at 8 a.m. Pacific Time each day.

The 14 teams competing in the Inland Cup include Boise State, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, Oregon State, Portland State, Sacramento State, Seattle, Washington State and Weber State.

Live nine-hole scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com, and daily results and a recap will be available at www.nevadawolfpack.com.

NEVADA'S LINEUP: The Wolf Pack's lineup for the Washington State Inland Cup includes junior Lauren Hernandez (Las Vegas, Nev.), sophomore Jamie Yam (San Diego, Calif.), junior Ana Patricia de la Maza (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) and two new players who will be making their Nevada debut in freshman Louise Yi (Cinnaminson, N.J.) and sophomore Eugenia Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico.).

MEET THE WOMEN'S WOLF PACK GOLF TEAM:  Last season under the direction of Adam Pohll, Nevada turned in six top 10 finishes (three top five finishes) in nine tournaments, including a second-place showing at the Northwest Inland Cup in September in Pullman, Wash. The Wolf Pack has six returners including junior Lauren Hernandez (Las Vegas, Nev.) who finished second on the team with a 77.50 stroke average and had two top 20 showings, including an eighth-place effort at the 2009 Western Athletic Conference Championship. Sophomore Jamie Yam (San Diego, Calif.) returns after finishing second on the team in 2008-09 with three top 20 showings and third with a 77.93 stroke average. Yam also qualified for the 2009 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championships this summer.  Other returners include senior Pamela Abreu (Guatemala City, Guatemala), sophomore Alex Borcherts (Las Vegas, Nev.) and juniors Ana Patricia de la Maza (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) and Cathleen Ward (Boulder City, Nev.).

New to the Wolf Pack are sophomore Eugenia Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico.) and freshman Louise Yi (Cinnaminson, N.J.). Guerra comes to the Wolf Pack after playing a season at the University of Tulsa, while Yi is a 2009 graduate of Cinnaminson High School.

UP NEXT: Following the Washington State Inland Cup, the Wolf Pack will head to Corvallis, Ore., Sept. 28-29 for the Gustina Memorial Classic. Oregon State will host the tournament at the Trysting Tree  Golf Course.
