Another beautiful day in the Truckee Meadows as temperatures were in the mid-80s for the Wolf Pack's afternoon practice.

After two days of helmet-only practices, the team added shoulder pads today and will again tomorrow as it continues in the NCAA-mandated acclimation period.

Extensive time in the latter part of practice was spent in the passing game as new wrinkles are installed in Wolf Pack's Pistol offense and the Wolf Pack defense continues to make improvements.

CAMPER OF THE DAY: Sophomore Mike Andrews. The defensive tackle (who served as the team's unofficial barber before pictures were taken last week) is off to a good start in preseason camp. He's found his way into the backfield on a handful of occasions and continues to make strides at one of the defenses most pivotal positions this camp. Nevada is looking to replace the on-and-off-the-field contributions from departed captain Mundrae Clifton.

"Mike is doing a good job," defensive line coach Jim House said. "He had a great summer -- he won the Most Outstanding D-Tackle Award of the group. One noticable thing you can see with Mike is that he has really improved his get-offs."

QUICK NOTE: Entering camp, there were only two players who are limited to due to injury. Linebacker Kaelin Burnett and offensive lineman Aaron Huck are both recovering from shoulder injuries and will be limited in camp this month.
