Game Notes:

-          With the 69-65 win Saturday night at Idaho, Nevada improved to 13-8 overall on the season and 6-2 in WAC play. The victory was the team’s 30th in its last 38 conference road games, while Nevada is now 5-4 on the road this year (3-1 in WAC play).

-          Freshman Luke Babbitt led the team with a career-high 24 points, his sixth 20-point game of the season. He made 9-of-16 attempts from the field and all five of his free throw attempts.

-          Junior Joey Shaw added 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers, in just 14 minutes on Saturday. That marked the most points for Shaw since he scored a career-best 21 Dec. 2 at Colorado State.

-          Sophomore Armon Johnson added 10 points.

-          Sophomore Malik Cooke pulled down a career-best 12 rebounds to lead the Wolf Pack, while Babbitt added 10 rebounds for his fifth career double-double. Johnson also matched his career high with seven rebounds in the game.

-          Nevada outrebounded Idaho 44-32, the 10th consecutive game that the Wolf Pack has outrebounded its opponent. Nevada is now 10-4 on the year when outrebounding its opponents.

-          Freshman Dario Hunt blocked a career-best six shots in the game. He now has 44 blocks on the season, tying Nevada’s freshman record set by Nick Fazekas in 2003-04.

-          As a team, Nevada blocked 11 Idaho shots, just one shy of the team’s season high of 12 Dec. 9 vs. Sonoma State. In addition to six from Hunt, Cooke tied his career best with two blocks.

-          Cooke also had five of Nevada’s nine steals in the game, one short of his career high of six Dec. 6 vs. UNLV.

-          With the victory, fifth-year head coach Mark Fox moved into sole possession of third place in all-time wins at Nevada with 115. He has a 115-38 record in five seasons at Nevada, passing Sonny Allen who turned in a 114-89 record in seven seasons from 1980-87

-          Nevada returns home next week, playing host to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 5. Saturday’s game at Lawlor Events Center will tip off at 7:05 p.m. Pacific Time and can be heard on Nevada’s radio flagship, ESPN 630 AM, and its radio affiliates throughout the state with Ryan Radtke calling the action.
