Nevada at #11/12 North Carolina

Postgame Notes:

- Nevada dropped a narrow 80-73 decision at No. 11/12 North Carolina Sunday night at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Wolf Pack fell to 2-3 on the year and 0-3 on the road this season, while North Carolina improved to 6-1 overall on the year.

- The North Carolina game is the second of three consecutive road games for the Wolf Pack in a stretch of four of five away from home, while Nevada is still looking for its first road victory of the year.

- Junior Armon Johnson led four Wolf Pack players in double figures for scoring with 20 points, his second 20-point game this season and the 16th in his career. It also marked the second time this year that  Johnson has led the Wolf Pack in scoring.

- Sophomore Luke Babbitt added 15 points, while sophomore Dario Hunt had a career-high 12 and senior Joey Shaw added 11 points. Shaw scored all 11 of his points in the second half, hitting a season-high three three-pointers.

- For Hunt, it marked the second game in a row that he has set a career high for scoring after having 10 points Friday at VCU. Hunt also narrowly missed his second career double-double with nine boards and had three blocked shots.

- Babbitt turned in his fourth consecutive double-double, pulling down 11 rebounds to go along with his 15 points.

- For the second game in a row, Nevada matched its season low with seven turnovers.

- The Wolf Pack trailed 46-39 at halftime and fell behind by 11, 50-39 with 18:25 to play. But Nevada turned in an 18-6 run to take a 57-56 lead with 12:52 to play. The Pack took the lead twice more late in the second half but fell just short in the loss.

- Nevada returns to action Saturday night, traveling to Stockton, Calif., to take on the Pacific Tigers. Saturday's game will tip off at 7 p.m. Pacific Time and will be televised locally by the University of Nevada Sports Network on KAME-TV 21. The game can also be heard on Nevada's flagship, ESPN 630 AM, with Ryan Radtke calling the action.
