Postgame Notes:
- Nevada turned in a 112-99 victory over Houston on Saturday night at Lawlor Events Center. The Wolf Pack improved to 2-1 on the year and won for the 52nd time in 64 games at Lawlor Events Center. Nevada is 88-17 at home since the start of the 2003-04 season.
- The 112 points marked the most for the Wolf Pack since the team turned in a 117-88 win over Northwestern State on Dec. 19, 1991. The team's 61 points in the first half also marked the most points the team has scored in a half in at least the last six years (since the start of the 2004-05 season). It may be the most points in a half since the Wolf Pack scored 62 in the first half and 63 in the second half in its record-setting 130-125 loss to Loyola Marymount on Dec. 30, 1988.
- Senior Joey Shaw led five Wolf Pack players in double figures for scoring with a career-best 26 points. He went 9-of-12 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
- Nevada had three players reach the 20-point mark in Shaw with 26, senior Brandon Fields with a season-high 24 and junior Armon Johnson with a season-best 22. Last year, Nevada had two players score at least 20 points in four games but did not have three reach the mark in the same game. It was the 15th career 20-point game for Johnson, the eighth for Fields and the third for Shaw.
- Senior Ray Kraemer added a career-best 19 points, while sophomore Luke Babbitt added 14 points.
- Kraemer also set career highs with four three-pointers made and nine three-point attempts.
- Babbitt pulled down a career-best 17 rebounds for his eighth career double-double and his second this year.
- Johnson also turned in his second career double-double with 22 points and a career-high 12 assists.
- Nevada shot a season-high 60.9 percent in the game and 50 percent from three-point land (11-22). The team also dished out a season-high 27 assists.
- The team also outrebounded Houston 57-27, marking the first time this year that Nevada has outrebounded its opponent.
- Nevada returns to action Friday night, traveling to VCU to take on the Rams in a rematch of last year's BracketBusters game. Friday's game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time (4:30 p.m. Pacific Time) and can be heard on Nevada's flagship, ESPN 630 AM, with Jon Laaser calling the action.
