Nov. 14 Time Change, Free With Fresno State Football Ticket: The time for the Nov. 14 match with Louisiana Tech has been changed to a 5:00 p.m. start as not to conflict with the men's basketball game with Montana State scheduled for 7 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center.  Fans are encouraged to spend the day watching Wolf Pack events starting with the football game with Fresno State at 1 p.m. followed by volleyball and men's basketball.  Fans will be admitted free to the volleyball match with a football ticket.

Seniors Honored Saturday:  Prior to Saturday's match seniors Lauren Kelly, Sonnie Sei and Jorgan Staker will be honored for their contributions to Nevada volleyball.  The trio will be playing their final home match at the Virginia Street Gym.  All three have spent four years wearing the silver and blue.

 

   

Nevada Closes Out Home Schedule vs. NMSU And LA Tech: The University of Nevada (10-17, 6-7 WAC) will close out the 2009 home schedule this week hosting New Mexico State (16-8, 11-3 WAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. and LA Tech (14-16, 4-10 WAC) on Saturday at 5 p.m.  The Wolf Pack lost to both schools earlier in the season on the road.

Five Pack Players Climbing Career Lists As 2009 Season Nears End: 
Five players continue their climb up the Nevada career lists as the 2009 season nears its conclusion.
Junior Lindsay Baldwin appears in three categories ranking sixth in points with 976, is fourth in block assists with 324 and her 360 total blocks is also fourth.
Senior setter Sonnie Sei's 1691 career assists ranks eighth all-time and leaves her nine short of 1700 for her career.
Junior outside hitter Kylie Harrington is just behind Baldwin on the career points list with her 879.
Senior Jorgan Staker appears in a pair of categories ranking seventh in block assists with 223 and is eighth with 228 total blocks.
Junior libero Nicole Link's 962 career digs ranks ninth in school history.

Team and Player Notes

Team Notes:  After going 0-8 on the road to start the season the Pack swept a two-match California road swing winning 3-0 at SJSU (11/7) and 3-1 at Fresno State (11/9) to earn their first road wins of the season...Nevada's current two-match win streak equals the longest of the year...The Wolf Pack swept SJSU and FS this season going 4-0 versus the WAC's two California schools...Nevada is 5-0 in five set matches this season...for the ninth consecutive year Nevada opened WAC play with a win downing Fresno State 3-1 on Sept. 29 and the Pack are 9-1 in WAC openers since joining the conference in 2000...Nevada's loss at LA Tech (Oct. 3) was the first to the Lady Techsters in 13 WAC meetings...the Pack played in four tournaments to start the season and went 1-2 in all four...Nevada snapped a season-high four-match losing skid downing Houston 3-2 in the final match of the Wildcat Classic on Sept. 5...for the first time since 2003 Nevada won its season opener defeating Connecticut 3-2 on Aug. 28...the Pack were picked to finish fifth in the WAC Preseason Coaches' Poll...Nevada ranks fourth in hitting (.178%), sixth in assists (10.74 aps), eighth in blocking (1.77 bps), ninth in digs (12.49 dps), seventh in opponent hitting percentage (.215%), sixth in kills (11.65 kps) and sixth in service aces (1.07 saps) in the WAC while in conference only action the team ranks sixth in hitting (.169%), sixth in assists (11.16 aps), eighth in blocking (1.62 bps), sixth in digs (13.82 dps), fifth in opponent hitting percentage (.203%), is tied for sixth in kills (12.00 kps) and sixth in service aces (1.11 saps).

Player Notes:  Junior Kylie Harrington had 25 kills and 27 points in Nevada's 3-1 victory at Fresno State on Monday to establish new career highs in both categories, her previous career high for kills of 22 was set earlier this season on Sept. 26 at home vs. FS...Harrington's 25 kills is tied for the third best total in the WAC this season and her 27 points it tied for fourth...Harrington leads the team with five doubles-doubles on the season which is tied for the seventh most by a player in the WAC this season...Harrington had a career-high 20 digs to go along with her 22 kills in Nevada's 3-1 WAC opening win over Fresno State (Sept. 26)...Harrington has led the Pack in kills in 21 matches this season and tied for the team lead once...21 times Harrington has reached double figures in kills including the last seven matches...12 times Harrington has either posted or tied for the match-high in kills...three times this season Harrington has totaled 20 or more kills with the 22 vs. FS, 21 vs. Houston and 25 at FS...Harrington has 791 career kills leaving her nine from 800 and 21 points will push her to 900 as she currently has 879...Harrington ranks fifth in four categories in the WAC averaging 3.49 kills per set on the season, 3.73 kills per set in conference play, 3.84 points per set on the year and her 4.03 points per set in league play...Harrington's five service aces vs. UCONN (Aug. 28) is tied for the most by any WAC player...three Pack players recorded double-doubles in the Fresno State win Harrington, junior Lindsay Baldwin (10k,10blocks) and freshman Elissa Ji (15k,14d)...Senior setter Sonnie Sei dished out a team-high 42 assists at Fresno State (11/9) which surpassed sophomore setter Tatiana Santiago's (9/26) 40 vs. the Bulldogs earlier this season...Santiago is second on the team with two double-doubles...Santiago and Sei split time at setter most of the season but Sei has taken over the duties the last part of the season...Sei ranks ninth in the WAC averaging 5.30 assists per set on the year and her 5.93 WAC action also ranks ninth...Santiago's 5.53 assists per set in WAC play is 10th in the conference...Sei needs nine assists to reach 1700 for her career and her current 1691 ranks eighth in school history...Baldwin recorded her 700th career kill this season and currently has 733 and she is 24 points from 1000 with her current total of 976 ranks sixth in school history...Baldwin's 10 blocks vs. FS (Sept. 26) is tied for the sixth best match total in the WAC...Baldwin is eighth in WAC play averaging 1.10 blocks per set...junior libero Nicole Link averages 3.94 digs per set on the season and 4.39 in WAC play to rank third in both categories...Link's 962 digs ranks ninth in school history and leaves her 38 from becoming the eighth player at Nevada to record 1000 in a career...Link's 30 dig performance in Nevada's 3-2 victory over CSU Bakersfield on Sept. 19 established a new career-high and ranks as the fourth best total in school history...Link's 29 digs vs. Utah State (Oct. 10) and at FS (Sept. 11, 2008) is the tied for the fifth best total in school history...Link's 30 digs vs. CSUB (Sept. 19) and 29 vs. Utah State (Oct. 10) are the top two individual performances in the WAC this season...Link has led the Pack in digs 21 times this season and tied for the honor once...Link has led the Pack in digs in 16 of the last 17 matches including a stretch of 13 in a row...13 times Link has either tied or posted the match high in digs...six times Link has surpassed 20 digs in a match this season which includes the 30 dig performance...senior Jorgan Staker came off the bench and totaled 12 kills versus Portland State (Sept. 12) which is one off her career-high...Staker hit .588 in the PSU match which is the high by any Pack player this season...sophomore Erin Garvey has twice posted career highs with 12 kills this season vs. Sam Houston State (Sept. 12) and Utah State (Oct. 10)...sophomore Brittni Yates missed several matches early in the season due to an ankle injury but is now starting at middle blocker...senior Lauren Kelly ranks seventh in WAC play averaging .32 service aces per set.
