RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada (8-15, 4-6 WAC) volleyball team snapped a three-match losing skid by sweeping San Jose State (1-19, 1-8 WAC) by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-13 in a Western Athletic Conference match at the Virginia Street Gym tonight.  Tonight's three set victory marked the first time Nevada has won a match this season in three sets after going 0-11.  With the victory the Wolf Pack improved to 8-15 on the season and 4-6 in WAC play while the Spartans dropped to 1-19 overall and 1-8 in league play.

With set one tied 5-5 the Pack put together 10-3 run to take a seven-point advantage at 15-8 and cruised to the 25-15 victory.  Offensively Nevada hit .231 and held SJSU to a .094 attack percentage.

In set two Nevada never trailed scoring the first five points of the set and went on to win 25-17 to take a 2-0 set advantage into the locker room.  The Pack improved their hitting percentage to .370 and defensively held the Spartans to a .074 attack percentage in the second set.

Coming out of the locker room the Pack picked up where they left off building a 10-point lead at 17-7 in set three on the way to the easy 25-13 third set victory and 3-0 match win.  Nevada continued its torrid offensive pace posting its best hitting percentage of the night at .391 and held SJSU to their worst at negative .056.

Junior Kylie Harrington led Nevada with a match-high 11 kills while fellow junior Lindsay Baldwin added 10.    Baldwin reached two milestones in the match as she needed three kills to reach 700 for her career and two blocks to move into fourth on the Pack career list in total blocks and she accomplished both in the victory.  Senior setter Sonnie Sei dished out a match-high 29 assists on the night while junior libero Nicole Link also posted a match-high with her 10 digs.

Alex Akana topped SJSU with eight kills and setter Caitlin Andrade totaled 21 assists.  Kristal Tsukano and Katie Turner had five digs apiece for the Spartans. 

Nevada's .329 attack percentage in the match was its best of the season and defensively the Pack held SJSU to a .032 attack percentage.  The Pack totaled five blocks and SJSU just one in the match.  Baldwin had two solo blocks and Brittni Yates two assisted for the Wolf Pack.

Nevada will host third ranked Hawai'i on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m.
