Nevada Post-Game Notes
With this win, Nevada…

- Now leads the all-time series between the schools, 18-9 as the Pack has won five straight against Idaho. The Wolf Pack is 11-2 all-time against Idaho at Mackay Stadium.
WIN STREAK: Nevada has now won four games in a row, the Pack’s longest winning streak since a five-game streak in 2006. The Wolf Pack’s four wins have been over UNLV, Louisiana Tech, Utah State and Idaho. Nevada’s senior class will leave having never lost to either of those four teams.
RUNNING WILD: The Wolf Pack rolled up 484 yards of rushing against Idaho, which entered the game as the WAC’s top, and nation’s 14th-best, rushing defense at 90.5 yards per game. The Wolf Pack’s eight rushing touchdowns ties a school record set in 1981 (vs. Central Arkansas).
Junior quarterback Colin Kaepernick ran for 230 yards and four touchdowns. The 230 yards is the 11th-best single-game performance in Nevada history and 10 yards shy of Kaepernick’s personal best (240 yards vs. UNLV, 2008). Kaepernick moved into eighth place all-time in career rushing at Nevada with 2,414 yards while Vai Taua moved into 11th at 2,242.
This marks the 12th time that Taua has topped the 100-yard mark in his career and the eighth time that Kaepernick has done it. This is the fifth time that Kaepernick and Taua have gone over 100 in the same game.
KAEPERNICK PASSES ROWE, GATLIN: Colin Kaepernick entered the day fifth all-time at Nevada in total offense. He now has 8,725 yards in his career. Along the way today, he passed Jeff Rowe (2002-06) and Fred Gatlin (1989-1992).
DRAKE SETS PAT RECORD: With a perfect 10-of-10 in extra points, junior kicker Ricky Drake broke the school record for most PATs in a game. The record of nine was set in 1977 by Fernando Serrano and matched five other times, including once more by Serrano himself.
